A step-by-step guide into the world of stunning interior designs

SCANDINAVIAN

Scandinavian interior design is a minimalistic style using a blend of textures and soft hues to make sleek, modern décor feel warm and inviting. It emphasizes clean lines, utility, and simple furnishings that are functional, beautiful, and cozy. Scandinavian interior design is known for its minimalist color palettes, cozy accents, and striking modern furniture. Designs often play with natural light which is a hot commodity in Nordic countries.

MID-CENTURY MODERN

The mid-century modern style of interior design was popularized during the 1940s and has yet to leave the mainstream gaze—for good reason. Defined by clean lines, organic forms, minimal ornamentation, and high functionality, the style has an undeniably timeless appeal. Icons like Florence Knoll and Arne Jacobson—both of whom were prominent designers during the mid-century modern period—remain a strong part of the design conversation to this day, and their work still serves as inspiration for some of the world’s top creatives.

ASIAN-INSPIRED

Asian style interior design, sometimes called Oriental design, showcases the cultures of Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and other prominent Eastern societies. Some room designs are true to one style, while many Asian themed rooms are a combination of two or more cultural influences. The most recognizable design styles are Chinese and Japanese. The natural fabrics and materials, household plants, the inclusion of water (such as a fountain), and natural lighting are all common elements.
